Enrollment for Mountain View School District’s full day Kindergarten and full day Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for the 2024-2025 school year has begun!

MVSD welcomes children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2024, to enroll in its outstanding full day kindergarten program.   Children turning five years old between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025 are invited to enroll in the District’s full day Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. TK is a bridge between preschool and kindergarten and gives young learners a head start, providing them an opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that is tailored to meet their academic and social needs.

MVSD’s Kindergarten and TK classes provide educational, instructional and social emotional programs to help students develop the skills necessary to achieve academic and social success.

“Our TK and Kindergarten curriculum focuses on the whole child and our classrooms are designed to help children grow and progress,” said Dr. Raymond Andry, Superintendent. “Our students learn and develop in a safe and caring environment and our exceptional TK and Kindergarten teachers are dedicated to providing students with a wonderful school experience” he added.

Mountain View School District is proud to have exceptional early literacy programs, extensive technology learning programs including in school 1:1 technology devices, Visual and Performing Arts, extensive enrichment and intervention programs, Spanish Dual Language Immersion Programs at Parkview and Payne Schools, social emotional learning with school counselors at every school, beginning and intermediate band, Disney Imagination Campus field trips for 5th and 8th grade, a school-wide uniform policy, clean, safe and secure schools, a nationally recognized family engagement program, a college-bound culture, free breakfast and lunch programs, free bus transportation for those beyond walking distance from their school, and excellent free after school care and instructional support offered through the Think Together program, as well as Mandarin and Spanish language enrichment programs offered by Cultural Bytes, Robotics, Art, Ceramics and more provided by Windtree Education, and sports programs offered by Home Field Advantage and El Monte Parks and Recreation.
