MVSD’s six-week Saturday Enrichment classes are providing excellent enrichment and engagement for 260 of the District’s third through eighth grade students.

Held on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., students are having a great time exploring Digital Music including Electronic Piano and Electronic Drums, Ceramics, Graphic Design and Animation during the classes led by Windtree Education.

Participants in the Digital Music class are learning the basics of music theory fundamentals and are enjoying hands-on experience playing the electronic piano and electronic drums.  In the Ceramics class students are learning the skills of slip, scoring, hand building and coiling as they make original ceramic pieces.  The Graphic Design class offers students the chance to work with a variety of communications tools arranging visual elements including typography, images, symbols and colors to convey a message.  They are also learning to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, magazines, product packaging and exhibitions.  Students in the Animation class are communicating ideas through a visual platform, expressing their creative ideas through 3D animation, stop motion, motion graphics, 2D animation and other methods to demonstrate their newly acquired animation skills.

MVSD is proud to partner with Windtree Education whose focus is empowering students to explore their talents in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) fields.

Following its mission to inspire each student to succeed every day, the Mountain View School District is proud to offer learning opportunities and enrichment for students beyond the regular school day with afterschool and Saturday programs, as well as a comprehensive summer program.
